Shaping Soles has donated over 5,765 meals to homeless cats, as of March 2025.
On December 10th, 2023, Chris and his fiancée Caty adopted a beautiful kitty named Skyee from Here Today Adopted Tomorrow in Brimfield, MA. Skyee was labeled a “spirit cat,” and was originally surrendered to Dakin Humane Society several months before.
She was adopted from Dakin, but then shortly after surrendered once again to the shelter in Brimfield. With such a loving and innocent face, we pondered why. “Spirit cats,” by definition are “very shy adult cats who struggle with changes in their lives and environment. They'll often need more time than the average cat to settle in.”
Upon an hour or so after adopting Skyee, mixed in with some crying on the way home in her crate (that she now dreads going to the vet in), we quickly learned she wasn’t a spirit cat. She just needed love.
She has inspired us to try our very best to advocate for cats in our area (as well as kitties across the globe in Belarus), and for people to understand that cats are delicate, loving animals that need love and patience. With that being said, as loving cat owners, we have dedicated ourselves to donating meals, litter, toys, supplements, blankets, and more for cats.
